Abstract: |
The electronic milk adulteration testing (EMAT) camp held at the Collectorate in the city on Monday evoked good response from the cattle farmers and the local people. The camp was organised by the State Food Safety and Drug Administration Department and the testing was done free of cost. The department headquarters possessed a sophisticated electronic milk adulteration testing equipment which was being circulated to various districts for demonstration and testing. The equipment has been allotted to Salem district this month. According to S. Mariappan, District Designated Officer of the Food Safety Department, a total of 55 persons brought the milk samples and tested them at the camp. |
