Food department has started a four-day drive against milk adulteration in city on Monday in which officials will collect samples of loose milk, packed milk and milk powder from shops and factories. Food inspector Manish Swami said since there are frequent complaints of adulteration in milk and milk products, department has been asked to conduct a drive across state in which milk sold in the market will be checked. Nine legal samples were collected on Monday from Mahawar Nagar, Paraspar Nagar, Sitaram Park Colony, Scheme 51 and Bangarda road. According to officials, a sample was collected from Madhav Dairy, where it was found that cow and buffalo milk was mixed, while other samples were collected from Amrat Dairy, Mangilalji dairy under similar suspicion. Samples of milk and paneer were taken from Snehil dairy, Vritika Dairy, Hira Dairy, Krishna Dairy and Shrinath dairy on suspicion of adulteration. |
