Abstract: | Mount Kisco Seafood owner Joe DiMauro, who has been selling fish for more than 30 years, said the best way to ensure that the fish you buy has not been mislabeled is to shop for or order seafood at restaurants that you trust. His other tips: In winter months, the only wild salmon available has been frozen. If the fish is described as "fresh wild caught," it is mislabeled. Red snapper has a blunted nose and is bright pink-to-red throughout. |
