Intensifying the drive to check food adulteration and other violations ahead of Diwali festival, various team of Legal Metrology, Food Safety, and Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Tuesday conducted market checking in various Rajouri markets. The team constituted on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, inspected various food establishments including shops of sweets, provisional stores, bakery, fast-food around here in Sunderbani, Nowshera and Rajouri town. During the drive, 12 shopkeepers were challaned under different sections for unsanitary and unhygienic conditions. The cases were compounded on spot and a fine of Rs 2500 was realized from the erring traders. |
