While the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) department of Maharashtra suspect that the adulterated milk they destroyed contains sucrose, maltodextrin or ammonium sulfate, food addictive elements in form of adulteration, the doctors in the city stated that it becomes difficult to clinical diagnose that the patient is suffering stomach because of adulterated milk. According to the doctors, milk should not get spoil easily but due to the demand and supply, the traders might be using the adulterant in order to keep prolonged shelf-life of the milk. Most of the time, the side-effect of the adulterated food product is stomach upset. Dr Ushakiran Sisodia, a dietitian at Nanavati Hospital, said, “People mainly suffer from stomach and allergy.
