Trading Standards are investigating after a former Miss England finalist admitted selling weight-loss products she claims are illegal. The company, Valentus, employs representatives around the world to promote and sell weight-loss products including "Slim Roast Weightloss Coffee". The product is being sold across England by a number of representatives, including Charlotte Thomson, according to CornwallLive. She confessed in a Facebook Live post that she'd been visited by Trading Standards at her Portreath home while in her dressing gown and they told her the company may be trading in the UK illegally. In her video, which has now been viewed more than 30,000 times, she claimed to have had no idea that the products were illegal and said that she had been left "heartbroken" and "devastated" to have her entire business "taken away". |
