Abstract: A STUDLEY butcher has appeared in court charged with placing fake adverts in local papers and selling mislabeled meat. Simon Drust, 49, owner of The Meat Shack at Spernal Garden Centre on Alcester Road, placed adverts in the Redditch Standard, Solihull Observer and on Facebook saying "Buy British-All Beef pork, Lamb and Chicken" which were alleged to have been untrue or misleading. The 49-year-old, from Johns Close in Studley, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Monday, January 22 facing a number of charges relating to fraud and misleading customers. Also appearing at the court, at the same time, was director of The Meat Shack Studley Ltd Susan Mitchell, 51, also of Johns Close in Studley, who faces the same charges. The pair spoke only to confirm their names, ages, and addresses.
