NT NETWORK MARGAO The issue of ‘formalin in fish’ has led to the war of words between the Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane with former asking the latter to take over the wholesale fish market. Sardesai’s statement came following an allegation by the Health Minister that Salcete minister ‘is benefitting from the market.’ The Agriculture Minister proposed that the FDA can shift the wholesale market to any of its acquired lands, even out of Salcete, and “ I am sure that Rane being a young and capable minister will do a good job as the SGPDA has no technical support to test the quality of fish. ” |
