BNSF is the main funding organization in the country, established in 2008 to provide support to research organizations and university in all fields of science on the basis of national competitions and research calls. The fund also participates in transnational research calls and framework programs and is currently engaged in two thematically food-related ERA NET Cofund schemes, one in biodiversity and ecosystem services transnational initiatives and another one in organic research. BNSF supports scientific research in all agricultural and food domains and projects are funded and evaluated by Scientific Expert Committee for Agricultural Sciences. |
